General Instructions
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
Online submission of application can only be made at website https://ifgtb.icfre.gov.in. Detailed instructions are available at this website. Candidates should read the instructions carefully before making any entry or selecting options. Candidates should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. Mandatory fields are marked with * (asterisk) sign.
Applications should be submitted ONLINE only through website https://ifgtb.icfre.gov.in from 08.11.2024 to 30.11.2024. No other mode of applications submission will be accepted.
Candidate who wishes to apply for more than one post must apply separately for each post using the same user credentials. Separate registration shall not be made.
In the event of any information being found false or incorrect at any stage, or not satisfying the eligibility criteria according to the requirement of the advertisement, candidature/appointment shall be cancelled/terminated.
No request for withdrawal of candidature after finally submission of applications will be entertained.
Admit Cards will be available on the website before 10 days from the date of written examination and can be downloaded by the candidate before the date of examination.
No hard copy of admit cards will be sent to the candidates.
The SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman(Ex-SM)/Woman candidates are exempted from the payment of the Exam Fee. However, they are required to pay Processing Fee as applicable for each post.
A Non-refundable Exam fees and processing fee as applicable for each post is to be deposited by the candidates belonging to UR/General, EWS) categories. This fee is to be paid online only. No other mode of payment of fee is acceptable.
Posts are temporary in nature but likely to continue further. Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere in India i.e. all thesepostscarryAllIndia Service Liability(AISL).
The Director, ICFRE-IFGTB reserves the right to increase or decrease the posts or not to fill any or all the advertised posts without assigning any reasons.
The age relaxation for categories i.e. SC, ST, Ex-SM, PwBD are provided automatically by the system based on the details furnished in online application form. As per Government of India norms, there will be 05 years relaxation in maximum age limit for SC/ST candidates, 10 years relaxation in maximum age limit for PwBD candidates and 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age. 05 years for employees of Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education for MTS & LDC posts and No Age Limit for Technician & Technical Assistant. The crucial date for age calculation will be the last date of receipt of application (30.11.2024)
Employees of Central/State Govt.,/PSUs/Autonomous Bodies applying for the above posts should upload ‘No Objection Certificate’ obtained from their Appointing Authority.
No request with respect to the change in any data submitted by the candidates in the online application form will be entertained once it is finally submitted. No scanned document will be accepted through e-mail or any other mode after final submission of application. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
The mere fact that a candidate has been called for written examination /Skill Test does not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by IFGTB. The candidate must note that if his/her ineligibility is detected at any stage before or after the written examination /Skill Test or if the conditions prescribed in the Rules and Instructions given in the advertisement or any other additional information/documents called for at any stage are not complied with within the time specified therein, his/her candidature will be liable for cancellation. The ICFRE-IFGTB will not be responsible for cancellation of candidature on this account.
Based on the merit, the candidates belonging to reserved categories i.e. SC/ST/EWS are also eligible to be considered against the un-reserved vacancies, if no relaxation in age has been availed by such reserved category candidates. If any concession in age is availed, such candidates will be eligible for consideration only against vacancies reserved for them.
The qualifying cutoff marks for Technician &Technical Assistant will be 50% of total marks for the candidates of General/EWS category while 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates. For PwBD candidates a relaxation of 5% is applicable.
No interview will be conducted for advertised posts. Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured by the candidate in the written examination. In case of tie, the general rules will be followed to finalize merit list.
Candidates seeking reservation/relaxation benefits available for SC/ST/EWS/PwBD/ESM must ensure they are entitled to such reservation/relaxation as per eligibility prescribed in the Rules/Notice.
In case the claim of candidates regarding Age, Educational Qualifications, Scheduled Caste(SC)/Scheduled Tribe(ST)/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM is found to be incorrect, it may render them liable to be disqualified by the ICFRE-IFGTB and their candidature will stand cancelled.
In case of any discrepancy (spelling or surname etc.) in name or father’s name of the candidate, he/she will be required to submit an original affidavit indicating the discrepancy and certifying the correct name along with other supporting documents at the time of their submission.
A candidate must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defects likely to interfere with the discharge of his duties as a Government servant. ICFRE-IFGTB may prescribe the medical tests, if required.
No person:-
a. Who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living or
b. Who, having a spouse living has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person shall be eligible for appointment to the service.Provided that the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE), may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.
The decision of the Director, ICFRE-IFGTB, Coimbatore as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for admission to the examination shall be final.
Canvassing in any form for/by the applicant shall not be entertained and will disqualify his/her candidature.
Any attempt on the part of a candidate to obtain support for his candidature by any means may disqualify him for admission to the examination.
A candidate who is or has been declared by the Institute guilty of impersonation or of submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tempered with or of making statements which are incorrect or false or of suppressing material information or otherwise resorting to any other irregular or improper means for obtaining admission to the examination, or of using or attempting to use unfair means or of misbehavior or misconduct in the examination hall, may, in addition to rendering himself liable to criminal prosecution and disqualification from the examination concerned:
a. Will be debarred permanently or for a specific period by the Institute, from admission to any examination and from employment under Institute.
b. Will be liable to disciplinary action under the appropriate rules, if he/she is already in service under Government of India.
xxix. The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination. Their admission at all stages of the examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If, on verification, at any time before or after the examination, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled.
Legal disputes, if any, shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent court in the state of Tamil Nadu.
